A short reflection

On the Border

Published · Spring 2026

There's a theme I've noticed this week — a feeling of being in between. People are stuck in limbo, torn between pleasing others and honouring their soul. So they stay in the middle, doing neither fully — not quite what they want, not quite what others want. And from that place, no one is truly happy.

They blame others for not supporting a choice they haven't fully made. They hope for a sign, for permission, for someone to say: "Go ahead, follow your heart." But deep down, they know — that's not coming.

So here's what I'm saying: jump off the fence.

Either do the thing you don't want to do and make someone else happy. Or do the thing you do want to do and finally make yourself happy.

Someone's going to be pleased once you choose.

Whose happiness matters most to you?
